- Advises the President of Supreme Court appointments. Has enormous say in future judicial appointments on the federal level.

- A close confidant of Trump who was supposedly in the running for the No. 2 spot, and advised Trump on the eventual selection of Mike Pence
What has been his track record?
- Immigration: Has opposed nearly every immigration reform bill in the Senate that has fought for a path for illegal citizens to come into this country or grant amnesty (an official pardon that the government gives to those that have committed political offenses, i.e. illegally immigrating into this country)
- Womens’ Rights: Has opposed expanded protections for women; opposed the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which would have offered expanded support and programs to domestic abuse victims.
